Hello! I'm reaching to you personally to see if you could look at the two version of the MAT A22 midterm.
They're still at the "draft stage" and so they haven't been laid on multiple pages yet.
1. Read over all the question and check for typos / inaccuracies / tricky-points of language. Write explicit comments back to me.
2. Compare the two versions (A and B) and see if one is easier or harder than the other version. Let me know which is harder.
3. Assess whether the students will be able to do the test in an hour.

Room Allocation
The Room Allocation is a guideline only. If a student is in the wrong room, don't panic.
They can write in whatever room they are in and nothing will go wrong.
Schedule
I will be in my office (IC 344) at TIME1. Please arrive there no later than TIME2.
When you arrive, I will give you the tests, the login tokens for Crowdmark, and a form for counting people.
We will briefly discuss the term test plan, and then walk over with the papers.
The goal is to have all the papers laid out and ready to go TIME3.
Students should get seated by TIME4 and we can start at TIME5.
General Remarks about Invigilation
Please don't make any crazy decisions in the moment.
For example, don't kick all the students out of the room.
(This happened once and it was total havoc.)
If in doubt, please wait and ask for my help.
You have four responsibilities while invigilating:
1) Keep an eye on the students
2) Answer any clarifying questions
3) Produce an accurate head-count
4) Escort people to-and-from the bathroom
While invigilating, please model professional behavior:
1) Stay active and interested
2) Walk around among the students
3) Look at individual students
4) Pro-actively approach students to help with questions
5) Don't laugh at student work once it is handed in
Please take students to the bathroom one-at-a-time.
There should only be one student (total) out of the room accompanied by a TA.
While taking students to the bathroom, please check if they have their cellphone.
If they do, report it immediately to me and take their name/student number.
We will be checking IDs and scanning papers into Crowdmark during the term test.
Check that their ID matches the name on their test, and look them in the eyes.
It is important to make strong eye-contact and hope for the best.
What should you do if you see someone cheating?
Try to subtly get a photo of the person cheating.
See if you can get another TA to verify that it's happening.
Keep track of the student's test paper and bring it to Parker's attention.
Please let me know that you read this whole e-mail.
To do so, respond to the e-mail with the name of a species of tree.
What questions can you answer?
You can answer any question that's asking for clarification about wording or English grammar.
You CANNOT answer content questions. If you need to define something to answer the question, stop.
Should you whisper to students or speak in a normal voice?
Just talk normally. It is already hard to hear people through masks.
It is not especially disruptive.
What to do if a student freaks-out / panics / cries?
Hopefully this does not happen. If it does, contact Parker immediately and I'll do my best to sort it out.
How can you contact Parker?
I will be available by Discord.
