We went to Community Camp at Camp NeeKauNis1. It was an absolute blast to stay with Quakers for a few days. We arrived at camp on Mabel’s second birthday. My parents even joined us at camp. A few days of time with Gra-Gra and Grandpa KC were a special treat for the kids.
At Camp, I hung out with a number of elderly folks who either feel sore all over and really wished they had been more active and stretched in their thirties, or who stretched, remained active, and now seem quite active and well. So, I feel inspired to add stretching to my daily routine.
I continue to really enjoy the Kobo. In the evenings, I read War and Peace in my tent. It was cool to read in almost complete darkness with the screen set to 1% brightness in dark mode. It didn’t seem to upset my sleep at all. After a good dose of reading, I could roll over and fall fast asleep. I also loaded up a copy of Britain Yearly Meeting’s Faith and Practice — an important Quaker reference document. Those two books weigh a total of 1.8kg2 and take up a lot of space.
