This week, I attended a wonderful retreat One Dish One Spoon,
organized by the Elizabeth O’Brien, the liason librarian for CMS and anthropology.
I took some notes in my daily carry journal.
These will be totally useless for anyone else, but I hope they remind me of what I learned here.

About culture and language: don’t say to youself “my kids won’t ever use this”. It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. We can’t know NOW what they’ll use of need later on.

Being yourself = success
Question: As a contemporary Canadian (or international student) who has no part in colonisation, why does all this stuff matter to me?
