Plant Diary Question

This is a record of a question I posted on /r/houseplants. I am mostly thinking of this in relation to my office plants.

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone keeps a plant diary or plant log?

If so, how do you maintain it, what do you keep track of?

I have a bunch of african violets under grow lights, which mostly do their own thing. But, I don’t keep track of them at all. For example, I don’t even know what some of their blooms look like when they’re not blooming. So, I was thinking of making a photo diary of the plants. Also, I just bought a lithops which has very different care needs than most of my plants. It only needs water a few times a year (if that!) so I might want to keep track of when I water it so as to not murder it accidentally.
